Pleasant cozy place
The bathroom was not cleaned for the first 2 nights, only the towels were hung up. The breakfast twice there was fat cucumber, there was already a white, pulling film on it. Which I also announced right away. The rolls were freezer burn. And the ham smelled lightly.
As always friendly, good service and excellent food
Recommended, but you should try to reserve a table in advance if you plan to stay longer!
Very Nice Visit.
The location, the room and the entire area are very nicely designed, well-maintained and very clean. The boss made a rather awkward impression in dealing with guests. Was offended when we mentioned the many gelsen in the garden and went to eat elsewhere, even though we praised everything else. The romantic room is very nice, unfortunately the sanitary facilities (bathtub, washbasin) are installed in the bedroom itself and only separated by a screen. Bathtub with shower head, you can only take a shower while sitting in the tub. Breakfast very plentiful and good. Overall a little overpriced.
A very nice place in Hainburg with several possibilities to sit outside. The staff is very polite and the ambience is very pleasant.
Nice place near Danube
I asked the waitress several times that we wanted to order something. She always said she'd be right there, went back to the restaurant about five times and served other guests. We were completely ignored. Service = 0! Never again!
The food was not great, goulash bitter. Service unfriendly. For the price you can eat much better elsewhere.
The food (eierschwammerl) was good and the garden on the Danube is really nice
There were three of us and everything was fine. Ambience very idyllic and well-kept, food excellent, staff friendly and hard-working. Can't understand some reviews here. Even a little oops that happened in the kitchen was resolved in a friendly and easy way. I look forward to the next visit.
Preferably no star! Never before experienced such unfriendly and arrogant staff as here, we wanted to stop off during our bike tour and were fobbed off with the words, we can take a seat in front of the umbrellas in the rain, luckily there is the Danube Café a few hundred meters away, that's where it's all about a lot friendlier too.
Very good cuisine, selected very good wines, the manager of the house is an excellent hostess. You just feel comfortable
Excellent food, friendly service, nice environment on the promenade by the Danube. I can only recommend. 😊👌
The restaurant is rated here. The food, the wine, the service, the little domestic cat. Completely excellent! The boss as well as the older waitress with a slight insult, brisk and friendly. The young (possibly apprentices ?!) are also eager, brisk and very pleasant. With the wine there were a total of 2 small bottles of water which were not on the bill. All in all very recommendable and definitely worth repeating.
A first-class restaurant with a terrace directly on the Danube. Even the interior 1A. Nimble and polite staff, worth a visit.
Beautiful location on the banks of the Danube, quality food and friendly service.
Positive the really good location. Negative - unfriendly, overwhelmed staff, long waiting for food, quality could be much better. An example of how gastronomy shouldn't be 🤪
The beer has been waiting a long time and the prices ... oh yeah. Otherwise a beautiful view of the Danube.
Nice and very friendly place and the food was very good
They have an open terrace on the shore of the Danube. With the views, meals there are very pleasant.
Worst experience possible. Served raw (not just undercooked) chicken. Unbelievable wait times. Forgotten drink orders.
So I have to divide this experience into three chapters Service: We sat down on the terrace and no one even greeted us ... we only saw an older lady running there, who, although she spoke Slovak-Czech but was brazenly reluctant and still upset about her work. You won't believe it, she came to us and asks what you want? ... there was one wine on the table and a ticket with a description of the wine. So I asked for a drink list so I could choose. The waitress replied that if I don't know what I want, why do I call her? (I didn't call anyone) So I said no to myself. We got up and left, of course, that you didn't forgive yourself and messed up something. I usually leave it at that, but I was really interested in this approach, so I went across the road to the operation to look for an answer as to whether there was a mistake in me or such a normal approach to people. Operation: After an unpleasant experience on the terrace, I stand in the entrance to the operation and just look around. But no one anywhere but the lady behind the cash register who peeks at me and asks me if I'm looking for a toilet. I won't answer that, I'm looking for a manager, an operator or someone who explained to me how things work for them. The lady behind the cash register was the owner and had very good English. I described her problem, but of course our customer, our master, did not pay here. There came a hill of explanations and excuses that the waitress has been here for 3 months and that she is upset that she has to go to the terrace across the road and other things that I as a customer should not be interested in at all. She suggested that we don't start again and guess what we decided to try, we chose to sit in the yard and have something to refresh some lemonade or coffee. Second try: What do you think we got a drink list? According to my evaluation, you probably already know and guess correctly NO! We ordered 2x juice and 1x mineral water and asked for a latte with some flavor. Latte in this operation = no flavor, supposedly a classic traditional Austrian latte, this business is probably not like starbucks and I must admit that it is not. Even in Sturbucks you would find more helpful staff, better coffee than this with a flavor than with a vending machine and a more pleasant environment. Later there was a payment and I still did not know what I actually ordered, drank and how much I will pay (business). We paid and left. Here? .. never again to stay here. An observation from this exhausting visit. I don't want anyone to carry my energy on a tray in a waiter's suit or rondon Like in this operation. I just wanted a drink menu and a bit of a positive mood for myself and my family ... after all, I came there and the staff and the owner work there for me or am I wrong?
I was very unpleasantly treated by an elderly waitress
Unprofessional older weiter, no menu given at the beginning. When I asked for a bill at the end he just told me the price, no bill. That's not ok.
This hotel is run as an exclusive hotel, so the boss is the main person who does not accept the slightest criticism from guests and even threatened to be kicked out! I was with a group of around 25 people in the inn and in the garden! At a temperature of 38C degrees I bared my upper body! What I then got to hear was not exactly the best way! Thank god she also has a sense of humor and read erotic poems! In the end everything was clear again! Thank you
Great place to go out to eat.
Overpriced mediocre food, horrible service who even brought us wrong things. Only started being polite when his boss was around or when he asked us for the insane bill. Would not recommend.
Food is good and the tables outside near the river are a really pleasant stay in sunny days, food is good, staff polite. Been few times here. The fried chicken worths a bicycle ride from Bratislava :-D
Not recommended in winter. Unfriendly breakfast staff and rooms are not really cleaned. Rooms to the street side have the train directly from the window. Everything is very old.
Excellent place to have high quality traditional meal in a splendid traditional environment.
Great place, away from the t
Very nice and friendly restaurant and a great location on the Danube. A beer garden and restaurant/hotel with a terraced area on the river. White linen tablecloths and napkins and good quality food.
Liked it
we stopped for a drink and some snack. Location of outdoor terace and food was great but we didn't like a service we got.
Nice place to stay, perfect servis, excellent food.
Lovely restaurant with outside seating directly at the river. Choices of Austrian dishes as well as seasonal menu. Food was really excellent - perfect as a treat after a cycling tour from Vienna :-)
Nice restaurant in Hainburg. Very "cozy" and the athmosphere is so warm! Recommend to any biker who finishes up for a break in Hainburg - not far away from the Vienese Gate of the old city! Also not far from the main train station in Hainburg.
Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food! Extra room for private events available.
Limited but good menu. Seasonal and tasty
This was the worst experience in terms of customers service whilst cycling the Danube. The guest house looked down on us from the word go - to them we were seen as second class customers as we had a tent rather than a room. When we tried to get food from their restaurant out on the banks of the Danube we were completely ignored by the waiter and staff so went elsewhere. The lady at the desk was completely stuck up. Do yourself a favour if you're camping: cycle on to Bratislava. I hate giving bad reviews and I even more hate using google but here I am giving a bad review on google. You're welcome.
Probably the best restaurant in Hainburg ...
Very good food and drinks, lovely historic interior and very friendly waitress
